About Bruce Michalek

Br. Bruce Michalek, OFM, serves as the Development Director for the Province of Our Lady of Guadalupe in New Mexico. For the past nine years, Fr. Bruce has been ministering in Vietnam and traveling throughout the region teaching English to Franciscan students. Ordained in 1971, Br. Bruce was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. He entered the Brothers Training School of the Franciscan Province of St. John the Baptist in 1965. After his solemn profession, he spent most of his early ministry in a variety of positions in New Mexico.
