What a blessing you are to Franciscan missionaries around the world!

Thank you for the gift of friendship. I trust in your ongoing friendship as we look ahead to the rest of the year.

As the executive director of the Franciscan Missions, I send you the grateful prayers and best wishes of over 5,000 Franciscan missionaries in over 600 missions around the world.

You are a wonderful friend to our missionaries. You show your care and commitment with your every gift in response to my letters. Your steadfast generosity touches more lives than you can imagine.

Through your partnership with us, children are educated and formed in the faith, the elderly are visited, the dying comforted, the poor given hope and solace, and the faith of many people enriched.

I want to offer you just a glimpse of the reach and impact of your generosity.

Your goodness has helped us build a church for God’s people in a remote village in Tanzania and an impoverished town in Senegal.

Your goodness has helped us serve refugees amid the devastation of war in Syria and South Sudan. You have helped us in India and Uganda as we feed, shelter and educate orphans.

Your great goodness has helped us in Congo, where hundreds of people come to our mission for medicine every week. You have helped us in Guinea-Bissau as we help provide treatment and medicine for those suffering from leprosy.

These are just some examples of the great good you bring about by supporting the Franciscan Missions! In gratitude for all you have done for us, we want to offer you the opportunity to have Masses celebrated by our missionary priests.

Many of our Franciscan missionary priests use Mass stipends to buy food, fuel and medicine. These stipends provide the financial means to live and serve the poor in dangerous and faraway places.

If you would like to arrange to have a Mass or a series of Masses offered, please complete the enclosed form and return it to me in the envelope provided. I will arrange for our missionary priests to celebrate Mass for your intentions as soon as possible.

I pray my grateful words can carry to you some measure of the great good you have made possible through your prayers and generous support. Your gifts help us deliver hope to people who live in poverty around the world.

May God bless you abundantly!

Gratefully yours,

Bro. Andrew Brophy, OFM
