Together we deliver hope

Natural disasters and conflict hit the poorest of the poor hardest.

All over the world, people live precariously—in ramshackle homes easily destroyed by flooding or earthquakes, barely eating enough to survive, vulnerable to disease. The slightest shift in circumstance can be the difference between life and death. When a disaster hits, families need immediate humanitarian help, and compassionate people to help sustain them and rebuild.

In 2024 alone, floods have already displaced over a million people, from Brazil and the Horn of Africa to Kazakhstan and Russia. In the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the devastation from floods, along with ongoing conflict and violence, has forced even more people to flee, cutting off desperately needed aid. Meanwhile, the conflicts in Ukraine and Sudan still rage on, leaving many lives hanging in the balance. It’s hard to fathom the weight of all this loss, but it’s happening every day, all over the world.

Hardship calls for humanitarian help.

Franciscan Friars are often among the first on the scene, providing whatever food, water, and shelter they can. But with resources already scarce in their parishes, they need additional financial support when earthquakes, floods, or wars occur.

Will you help bring the children and families trapped in war-torn areas or displaced by flooding and earthquakes, to walk out of the darkness and into the light?
