The Franciscan Brothers’ formation program in India nurtured 151 students, at various stages of their formation, preparing them to embody values rooted in humanity, Christianity, and the Franciscan tradition. Through the generous support of our donors, the brothers in St. Thomas the Apostle Province, India, received essential resources like food and lodging, and salaries of personnel, lecturers, and domestic staff were covered—ensuring these young men receive the comprehensive formation they deserve.

We met all our project objectives for the year, and are now planning to expand our efforts.

  • Three were 3 solemnly professed brothers this year.
  • 45 new brothers entered formation this year.

This substantial growth is a testament to the vibrancy and appeal of the Franciscan vocation—and it presents a challenge for us.

Continuing this vital work of formation and ensuring its sustainability will require continued support. With it, we can prepare the next generation of Franciscan leaders in India, enhance our fundraising activities, develop income-generating projects, and build stronger community networks.
