The Mass is the highest form of worship in the Catholic Church. It is a deep, life-changing encounter with God whereby we, and those we pray for, receive special graces. The church has a long history of celebrating Mass intentions for specific people and particular requests.
If you would like to have a Mass said for a loved one or an important request, our Franciscan friars will offer up your intentions at their Masses around the world. All masses occur outside of the United States.
The offering you make when requesting a Mass supports the work of Franciscan missionaries.
How do Mass Intentions work?

Choose a Mass Type: Explore our four mass options, decide which is right for you, and share your prayer request.

Your Mass is Scheduled: Masses are typically scheduled for a date that is four to six weeks after the initial request.

Receive Confirmation: You will receive a letter by mail once your Mass has been scheduled or celebrated.
Due to the abundance of requests and the nature of international scheduling, we are unable to provide specific locations and times for your Mass.
Thank you for your understanding.
Choose a Mass Series
There are multiple Mass options to choose from depending on your preference and the purpose of your intention.

Novena (9 Masses)
A Novena is an act of religious devotion originating in ancient Christianity, often consisting of private or public prayers repeated for nine successive days, in hope of obtaining special intercessory graces.
The novena Mass series includes nine Masses celebrated consecutively for an intention of your choice.

Gregorian (30 Masses)
Gregorian Masses are only offered for a departed person. The Gregorian Mass series is 30 masses celebrated, for your deceased loved one, over 30 consecutive day. It is a powerful way to pray for someone who is deceased. Because of the length of this series, we require extra time to arrange these Masses. Thank you for understanding.
